The Dondup brand was set up in

The Dondup brand was set up in 1999 in Fossombrone, in the Marches region of the “Made in Italy” fashion concept.
The headquarters, with over 400 square metres of archives alone, is in the province of Pesaro and Urbino and is a reference point for Italian manufacturing excellence.
It is here that all stages of production take place: from design to prototyping, from cutting to garment construction through to logistics, while specific processing is entrusted to established partners.
The brand is named after an ancient Tibetan lama, Mingyar Dondup, whose credo can be summed up in the words: “All men are equal. Race, colour and creed do not mean anything.
What is valuable are the intentions and actions of each person.”
The tribal symbol chosen as the logo highlights the free spirit of the denim culture in which the brand identifies itself.
Dondup interpreted contemporary style with a clear vision, bringing attention to detail and the constructions typical of haute couture into the RTW dimension.
A revolutionary approach that enabled the originality of a brand that has made effortless elegance its hallmark to emerge.
In 2010, L capital, now L Catterton, chose to invest in the brand, acquiring 40%. The entry of an international organisation like L Capital enabled the brand to gain strength and plan international growth.
Matteo Marzotto acquiring a quota of the share capital of leading Italian brand DONDUP. He has been nominated President of the company. Meanwhile, a new CEO for DONDUP was also recently appointed: Marco Casoni.
A man with extensive experience in the fashion industry, Casoni has a history of working together with Marzotto on major fashion projects.
